I arrived late on friday night and only went there for both days of live. Weather: Day 1 weather was fine, cloudy throughout but no rain for the most part. This is a review of the UK edition of Colour Me Beautiful , prompted by me buying some new books and revisiting this one. Originally I spotted this CMB book second hand and bought it on impulse for the colour charts, as an upgrade from using digital versions on unreliably calibrated screens.
Personally I've dipped into the book for ad-hoc inspiration and guidance but it gives a start-to-finish approach, walking you through all aspects of clothing and style: understanding what you want to change, colour, style, shopping habits, your face, and pulling it all together.
Like a "choose your own adventure" novel, it directs you to particular pages in a particular order to guide you through. This is very definitely a book designed for ladies, even though some ideas in it are transferable. Most of the example outfits tick the boxes for business casual, with a few evening looks interspersed.
